How does the "Start Training" button work?

The "Start Training" button on the course's main page sets the student's start date. While the start date hasn't been set, the button is visible and disappears once clicked.

A student with access to the course clicks it. For a group schedule, the button becomes active when the first lesson or stream date arrives. The text under the button and its visibility are configured in the course's main page.

The administrator sees the same button with a hint—it's only needed for information about the student's start, without actually starting the training on their behalf. The email and action chains surrounding the start are in How to automate the start of training?
