You don't need to create a login page — it already exists in the control panel. On the main website, a "Log In" button with a link to this page is sufficient; the link address is taken from the login page settings.
On the login page, the client enters their registration email and password and is taken to the control panel home page. If they are already logged in, they will be redirected to the home page immediately when visiting the login page.
